Getting accurate measurements is crucial for perfectly fitting replacement cushion foam. Follow this guide to measure your cushions correctly.
Measure the longest side of your cushion from edge to edge. For standard rectangular cushions, this is the horizontal measurement across the front.
Measure the shortest side of your cushion from edge to edge. This is the measurement from front to back of the cushion.
Measure the depth of your cushion foam, not including the fabric cover. This is usually between 50mm and 150mm depending on the furniture.
If your cushion has rounded corners, angled edges or a non-standard shape, note this when ordering. We can cut custom shapes including rectangles with rounded corners, wedges and trapezoids.
How firm should your new foam be?
• Soft (25-60 or 30-110): Comfortable, plush feel - good for back cushions and soft seating
• Medium (23-130 or 30-130): Balanced comfort and support - ideal for most seating
• Firm (35-200): Extra support - good for heavy-use seating and commercial furniture
Important: If you're unsure about any measurement, it's always better to order slightly larger and trim to size. We also recommend measuring twice to ensure accuracy.
